DMCA takedown policy

DMCA & copyright takedowns

We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to valid takedown notices promptly. This page explains exactly how to file one. Please read the "We do not host content" section first — most notices we receive are misdirected and we have no ability to act on them.

Effective May 25, 2026

About this policy

NetMirror respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998 and equivalent international frameworks. This page describes how copyright owners (or their authorised agents) can submit a takedown notice for material on this informational site.

We do not host video content

Before filing a notice, please understand the scope of this site:

  • This site is an informational resource about the NetMirror app — install guides, FAQ, troubleshooting, news.
  • We do not host, upload, store or stream any video content. We are not a streaming service.
  • We are not the developers of the NetMirror app itself and have no operational control over what the app links to.
  • We do not control any third-party CDN, streaming server or content source referenced by the app.
Misdirected notices: If you\'re reporting a stream or piece of video content found inside the NetMirror app, that notice must go to the app\'s actual host or CDN — not to us. We will respond to your notice but we cannot remove content we don\'t host.

We can act on takedown notices for material that appears on this website itself — for example, a screenshot, logo, text excerpt or image we\'ve published on a page. That is what this policy covers.

How to file a takedown notice

Send the notice through our contact form — select "DMCA / copyright" as the subject. This routes your notice directly to our designated agent.

Open the contact form

We aim to acknowledge within 24 hours and act on valid notices within 48-72 hours. If a notice requires more investigation we will keep you informed.

Required information

To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that has allegedly been infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list).
  3. The exact URL(s) on this site where the allegedly infringing material is located. Notices without specific URLs cannot be processed.
  4. Your contact information — full name, address, telephone number, and email.
  5. A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner.

Incomplete notices will be returned with a request for the missing information. False or misrepresented claims may result in liability for damages — see the "Bad-faith notices" section below.

Counter-notification

If you believe content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. Send it to the same DMCA agent address. A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its prior location on the site.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside (or, if outside the US, in the district where this site\'s service provider is located), and that you will accept service of process from the original notifier.

On receiving a valid counter-notice we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10 business days seeking a restraining order, we will restore the material in 10-14 business days, in line with DMCA timelines.

Repeat infringer policy

In appropriate circumstances we will terminate access to the site for users determined to be repeat infringers. This is a procedural site (read-only information) so user accounts do not exist, but if we identify abusive contact-form submissions or other repeat misuse, we reserve the right to block the relevant addresses.

Bad-faith notices

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents either (a) that material is infringing, or (b) that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages — including costs and attorneys\' fees — incurred by us, the alleged infringer, or any copyright owner injured by the misrepresentation.

We take bad-faith notices seriously. If you are unsure whether you have standing to file a notice, please consult an attorney first.

Designated agent contact

All DMCA notices must be sent through our contact form with "DMCA / copyright" as the subject:

For fastest action, use the contact form with the DMCA subject. Notices routed through other subjects (general support, press, etc.) will be redirected internally but may take a bit longer to process.
